The AMA, our insurance carrier, and common sense require a parent or legal guardian to sign up a minor rider to race. For legal purposes, we need a liability release and a minor release form filled out by the parent. For safety sake, you need your parent with you in case you’re hurt and need medical treatment.

If your parent or legal guardian can’t come with you you can still ride if you come to the track prepared. You need to bring a notarized permission note from your parent. This is a general idea of what the note should say, if there is any doubt in you or your parents mind regarding exactly what this document should or shouldn't contain it might be wise to have your parents discuss this with a Notary Public. A guardian is someone of legal age (18 or older) who will be at the track with you all day. We need an original copy of a note for every race. You should bring an extra copy for each minor to keep in case of injury. All banks have notaries and if you are a customer of the bank, there may be no charge to notarize the form.
